Led by Lisa Burnell, founder of Inner Journey Healing Arts, and Joyce Baxter, Counseling
Services Manager at the Columbia County Women's Resource Center, this is an Introduction
to Art Therapy as a treatment modality. Learn simple Art Therapy techniques
in helping clients heal from trauma. Discover how Expressive Art Therapy can aid clients
in coping with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Learn Expressive Art Techniques to
debrief and process counter-transference. Integrate simple creative self care exercises.
Use team building skills through Expressive Arts. Ideal for professionals working in the
treatment field, women's shelters, counselors, and nurses. Rejuvenate in nature, get the
training, plus receive 12 CEU! Located in our beautiful, inspiring forest setting.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has been characterized as mechanical and ignoring the role of
personal Higher Power in recovery. Cognitive-Behavioral Spirituality provides the link
between the principles of spiritual psychology and the practice of behavior change.
